Walks up the aisle and back again
Shelving the books that were returned to her
Alphabetizing them by the author
Rolls and rolls of microfilm
Sends Lucy to delirium
Dancing round bare skinned thru the London fog
Handing out cards from the card catalog
She comes across a pink giraffe
He poses for a photograph
Then takes Lucy up to meet the Sun King
When the day breaks then she'll be the Sun Queen
La la la....La la la
She wakes up in her bed again
So goes the life of a librarian
Fantasies lived by the books that she's read
Her day is passed thru the trips in her head
She's Lucy The Liberian
